President Trump’s Executive Order on Digital Assets appears to be a significant boost for the Crypto industry. It revoked the previous administration’s executive order 14067 which also wanted to advance the development of regulatory regime for digital assets but didn’t quite seem to get there. It states that the digital asset industry plays a crucial role in innovation and economic development in the United States, as well as our Nation’s international leadership. It is therefore the policy of my Administration to support the responsible growth and use of digital assets, blockchain technology, and related technologies across all sectors of the economy. With six months we should see some recommendations for regulatory and legislative measures. One thing that caught my eye was that the definition of Blockchain is also composed of source code that is publicly available. Is it limited to open source code? 🤔
